Art in Architecture - Ceramic Transfers
In addition to her unique glaze range Regina has explored ceramic printing and transfer techniques to develop specific motifs and patterns inspired by abstract painting. When applied onto undulating tiles, these designs create fleeting impressions of images echoed in water.
Photography also plays a part in the design process. Regina takes digital photographs - of landscapes, the complex geometric structures found in the natural world, and the clean lines of contemporary architecture – then zooms in on the underlying grids and patterns. These too provide inspiration for the designs.
The freedom of using transfers allows bespoke and personalised designs and can include images and/or lettering that contribute to the client’s identity.
Regina says: “I love to work to a brief and to create spectacular artwork for the client that enhances the experience of the space and reflects corporate or private identity.”
